First, a very clear statement of intent: the Organising Committee of London 2022 has absolutely no intention of cancelling or postponing London 2022. The exhibition will go ahead from 19 to 26 February 2022.
We have been looking very closely at the current UK Government rules and guidelines, and we will be putting in place a professional Covid testing facility at the exhibition venue to handle the testing of international visitors.
Jurors and Commissioners
Last week we agreed to set up a Covid testing centre for Commissioners and Members of the Jury at the exhibition site in the Business Design Centre, Islington; this news has been communicated with them.
All other Overseas Visitors and Stand Holders
Now we can announce that the Test Centre will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 17, 18 and 19 February for Lateral Flow (Rapid Allergen) Tests on arrival for all overseas visitors including stand holders. We will also arrange tests for those returning to overseas destinations (Fit to Fly Tests) on Saturday 26 February.
Prices and Certificates
These will be charged at £50 plus VAT for a Supervised Lateral Flow Test or £85 plus VAT for a PCR Test. Both will be certificated by a professional company recognised by the UK Government.
How do I book?
In early February a dedicated page on the www.london2022.co website will be set up for making these bookings. The tests will comply with UK Government requirements for the Passenger Locator Form necessary to enter the United Kingdom and will include the testing reference numbers for the COVID-19 test on arrival.
