(Amstelveen/pcp) From 2 to 4 April 2020, the auction house Corinphila Veilingen invites you to the traditional spring auction in Amstelveen near Amsterdam.

Collectors and dealers can once again look forward to a wide range of high-quality philately and postal history from the Netherlands to overseas with numerous highlights. Already in the run-up to the auction, the new discovery of a Netherlands 1864, 10 Cent Red from Plate II caused a sensation. This rarity was only discovered last September! In addition to various other individual lots from pre-philately to classical and modern times, the diversity of the collections and special parts will be very interesting.

Extraordinary collections and a unique exhibition collection

Fans of the pre-postage stamp era can look forward to a high-quality compilation of “Netherlands pre-philately” with an extensive section of departmental stamps. Colonial collectors can look forward to an excellent selection of Dutch East Indies and Indonesia, including imperforated proofs and numerous other interesting lots. A large collection of airmail presents the whole range of the collecting area of Dutch aerophilately – from the beginning to the present day.

An absolute highlight is the dissolution of the unique collection “Postal History Second World War” by the well-known philatelist Kees Adema. The exhibition collection, which has won two international gold awards, documents the period of the Second World War from mobilization to liberation, taking into account the most diverse facets of postal and contemporary history. From field mail to censorship documents and to letters from and to concentration camps – to name only a few aspects – the letters and documents reflect the turmoil of the time. In addition to individual lots, the offers also include smaller compilations and lots that will be of great interest to the historically interested collector. In addition, a further collection “Field Post Netherlands” will be presented, that matches the of Kees Adema.

The offer is rounded off by a number of high-quality country collections, including an outstanding part of Bosnia as well as collections from the German and English colonies and Egypt.
