Our member, Hysen S. Dizdari of Tirana, Albania, informs us that in 2017 he authored the book ‘Flora dhe fauna detare në pullën shqiptare’ (=Marine Flora and Fauna on the Albanian Stamp).
The book documents Albania’s rich marine biodiversity (over 450 species of algae, plants, and fish) as depicted across its postage stamps over a 104-year period from 1913 to 2017. It details how Albanian postal issues promote the country’s 476 km of coastline and serve as an educational tool for its marine habitats.
