After a three-year break, the so-called C.G. Awards of the auction house Christoph Gärtner in Bietigheim-Bissingen took place again in Monte-Carlo at the end of November 2022. These awards honour the literary work of working groups and associations that have distinguished themselves with particularly high-quality and sophisticated publications. The international jury, which had a choice of 36 digital or printed entries, was chaired by Rainer von Scharpen and decided by a razor-thin majority in favour of the newsletter of the ArGe Norddeutscher Postbezirk, for which AIJP President Wolfgang Maassen received the main prize of 2,000 euros in Monte-Carlo. Second place went to Leonard Hartmann (Philatelic Bibliopole) from the USA with his book on Peter Winter “Swansong. Memories of an Artist and a Forger”, for which he received 1,000 euros in prize money. Third place went to ArGe Österreich e.V.

In the digital media category, the winner was the Philatelisten-Verein Wittlich e.V. by a margin of 0.25 points, and in the youth category, the Junge Briefmarkenfreunde Herford with their magazine “Das Steckenpferd”.
