Part 1 of the “Paris” Library of Tomas Bjäringer was auctioned by Heinrich Köhler at Wiesbaden on 15 November 2025. The sale consisted of 1277 (!) lots; a report on it appeared on this website earlier. Part 2 containing Swedish literature was sold by Göta frimärken in Gothenburg on 24 November. This contained 104 lots only.
A massive 3,000 copies of the ‘ordinary’ hardbound auction catalogue were produced. On one inside page was mentioned: “100 copies (numbered 1-100) of this total edition were produced in a bibliophile with a special design.”
We did not know anything of the bibliophile edition when at Wiesbaden. After seven months, the mystery has been finally revealed. The “Limited Bibliophile Edition” has been published in 140 copies only and have been sent to literature enthusiasts worldwide, particularly the ones who participated in the Philatelic Literature Summit in Wiesbaden on 13-14 November.

What does this bibliophile edition cover which is not in the ordinary catalogue? To begin with, the Preface contains a souvenir sheet which was a gift from Martin Mörck and Nordisk Filateli to King XVII Gustaf at his Royal Anniversary in 2023 along with an article by Mörck on how the sheet was prepared. Next comes the very interesting article titled ‘Literature Name Sales in Retrospect: A Journey through Philatelic Bibliophily’ by the Swiss philatelic literature specialist, Heinz Glätti. The article is followed by the Part 1 and Part 2 auction lots, this time with the hammer prices mentioned. The last part contains a “Review” with six pieces written by Mårten Sundberg of Finland.
The catalogue is bound in padded covers to give that extra feel of luxury. Interested bibliophiles may try their luck in obtaining a copy by writing directly to Heinrich Köhler.
