(pcp-wm) In 1996 the last international exhibition, CAPEX 96, took place in Canada. Now, after 26 years, Canadian philatelists are planning a new attempt with CAPEX 22, which will take place from 9-12 June in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
It will be a specialized exhibition with 400 1-frame exhibits and a literature class. The exhibition is open to all interested parties who are members of an association affiliated to the FIP.
The event is organized by the Canadian Association of Philatelic Exhibitions and co-sponsored by the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (http://rpsc.org). It is held under the patronage of the Association of Inter-American Philatelic Countries (http://filatelia-interamericana.com). This makes CAPEX 22 the fifth International Philatelic Exhibition, having previously been held in 1951, 1978, 1987 and 1996, and a World Youth Exhibition in 1992.
