(pcp-wm) To see an “Erlking” in philately is hardly conceivable. This was made possible by Phil*Creativ Verlag, which has been publishing a book manuscript by Dr. Wolf Hess entitled “Postal History Finland. From the early beginnings to the entry of Russia into the UPU”.
Although this was still a working manuscript, on the occasion of Dr. Hess’ 75th birthday the publishing house had printed the upcoming book in a “Preliminary edition” with one copy for the author. Already in mid-January 2020, the renowned Swedish philatelist Jonas Hällström RDP, an eminent expert on Finland philately, visited the Schwalmtaler Verlag and wrote a review of the book under the title “A New Milestone Handbook”. This book is a must for every philatelist and postal historian of Finnish philately. It contains invaluable facts and figures, a census of the most important jewels of Finnish philately and the ultimate key to understanding the routes and postal rates to various destinations worldwide.
