(wm) On 26, 27 and 28 April 2019 an exhibition in Rank 2 (Class 2) will be held. The event, titled “AeroBerlin 2019”, can be seen in the Russian House of Science and Culture in the German capital. There are several anniversaries that will be commemorated: ‘70 Years Airlift’; ‘100 Years Airmail’; ‘the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the Study Group Berlin’; ‘the 50th anniversary of the moon landing’ and ‘the 50th anniversary of the commissioning of the Concorde’. Special shows, which can be seen alongside the competition exhibits, are correspondingly diverse: ‘100 years first official airmail Weimar-Berlin; ‘100 years SCADTA’; ‘100 years Bodensee airmail’; ‘70 years Berliner Luftbrücke’; ‘50 years moon landing (space mail)’; ‘50 years Concorde’ and 60 years Study Group Berlin.
On Saturday 27 April, the 49th FISA Congress will take place at the same location. Numerous study groups will come together for their annual meetings, for instance the Study group ‘Tag der Briefmarke’ and the study group ‘Deutsche Geschichte der Philatelie’).
