Exhibit Grader is a web-based artificial intelligence application developed by philatelist and author Will Castillo. The tool allows stamp collectors to layout, evaluate, and pre-grade their philatelic exhibits before bringing them to real-world competitive stamp shows.

According to its developer, Will Castillo, the model was not trained on exhibits. It was trained on the regulations, guidelines, seminars, presentations, articles, etc., given about every topic related to the judging a FIP or APS exhibit.

According to Castillo:*

The way I see EG has two sides:

  1. For the exhibitors of all levels. Today is extremely difficult to get proper feedback on our collections. And that only happens during exhibits the exhibitor attends. EG definitively can’t replace those feedback but it can definitively help you get there better prepared.
  2. It has the potential to help judges do a more thorough judging, judge more exhibits during expos because they can focus on less things per exhibit, and be a bit less prone to biases, discretionary decisions, etc.

The application is constantly improving and could be useful to you. Take a look at their website and decide. Currently, new users get five frame gradings free.
