A 500-year anniversary package will only be available in 2026 during the Germany-Sweden Bilateral Competitive Exhibition. And there is a lot to celebrate. There are …

… 125 years of the Berlin Postal-Stationery-Collectors Club from 1901: In 1901, dedicated philatelists founded the Berlin Postal-Stationery-Collectors Club to research and report on postal stationery from around the world. The new issue service has been active for over 100 years.

… 175 years of Berlin’s professional fire brigade: On 1 February 1851, Ludwig Scabell received the order from Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV to set up the first German professional fire brigade and was simultaneously appointed Royal Fire Director. At this time, Berlin was in the grip of devastating major fires. Within a very short space of time, over 1,000 men were recruited and this number has grown to over 5,300 employees today, who use the latest technology to keep the city safe.

… 100 years of the Berlin Radio Tower (Funkturm): With the establishment of radio broadcasting, it was necessary to erect aerials for the Berlin radio station. Based on plans by Heinrich Staumer, the radio tower, popularly known as the ‘Langer Lulatsch’, was erected on 3 September 1926 at a height of 138 metres on the new exhibition grounds in Charlottenburg, not far from the AVUS.

… 100 years of Deutsche Lufthansa: The airlines founded after the start of civil German air traffic on 6 February 1919 ran into serious financial difficulties in the mid-1920s. The German government therefore pushed for a merger of the ailing companies. This led to the founding of Deutsche Luft Hansa AG on 6 January 1926 at the Hotel Kaiserhof in Berlin. Scheduled air traffic operations began on 6 April 1926, initially on 8 routes. Within a few months, 57 domestic German and 15 international airports were served!

All these anniversaries will be duly integrated into the exhibition. Make a note of the event from 17-19 July 2026 as a fixed date. We would be delighted to welcome you as an exhibitor and visitor.
