(Germering/pcp) The MICHEL Mediterranean Countries Catalogue covers Gibraltar, Malta, Cyprus and Turkey. Editorial improvements have been made throughout. Collectors will now find the respective expiry dates for stamp issues from 1914 to 2006 listed for Malta. The discontinuation of shilling stamps in Gibraltar is now documented. Additionally, there are additions to sheet formats and print runs for Gibraltar and Turkey. The editorial team also identified a variant ‘missing gold colour’ on a Maltese postage stamp from 1973.
Another focus was on reviewing and updating price quotations. Significant price increases were recorded in some cases, particularly for Turkish issues from 2010 onwards. New issues from Turkish Cyprus also show a positive trend. Variants from Malta from the 1960s and 1970s are also increasing in value.
