(hr-bdb/pcp) The German Association of German Stamp Auctioneers mourns the death of its long-standing member Ekkehard Lambrecht, who passed away on 27 March 2025 at the age of 90.
Ekkehard Lambrecht had been a member of the Federal Association of German Stamp Auctioneers since 1972, initially with the company Seeberger-Auktionen, which still holds the record for the largest number of stamp auctions held by a German auction house, and later with the company Edgar Mohrmann & Co., of which he was a partner for many years. Ekkehard Lambrecht was an auctioneer who was held in high regard by both customers and colleagues. His success in acquiring numerous notable consignments was based on his friendly and courteous manner and his commercial integrity. He also made a valuable contribution to the promotion of young philatelists.
