(Vienna/pcp) As in previous years, the new ANK special catalogue offers the “non plus ultra” for every collector of stamps from our neighbouring country, especially for those who want to think outside the box. This requires 828 pages and around 8,700 colour illustrations of postage stamps, which are integrated into this opulent hardcover catalogue.

In addition to the stamp issues, the special catalogue also contains printing and colour varieties, plate errors and misprints as well as all other philatelic special items and features such as black and coloured prints, balloon mail, the Christkindl post office, the special items of Österreichische Post AG and many other philatelic issues.

As is the case every year, the 80th edition of the catalogue has been thoroughly revised, supplemented and expanded to include many new plate errors and numerous special features and varieties. Many of the varieties, imperforate stamps and proofs that have only recently become known due to the dissolution of the postal archive and collections that have been put up for auction, as well as new findings, have once again been extensively supplemented and catalogued.

As has been the case for a number of years, this edition also includes previously uncatalogued special editions of interesting philatelic areas as special sections. As in previous years, the modern special section is dedicated to the international collection area “Friedensreich Hundertwasser”. After cataloguing the official Hundertwasser stamps (worldwide) and the official personalised stamps of Österreichische Post AG, covers and postmarks, postal stationery up to the introduction of the euro, franking labels, WFUNA covers, the official personalised stamps with Hundertwasser motifs of Österreichische Post AG, the cachet stamps in the last issue, this special edition is supplemented in this issue by the official Hundertwasser postal stationery and vignettes.

On the occasion of the publication of the handbook and special catalogue “Österreich 1945 – Provisorien und Lokalausgaben” by Rüdiger Soecknick, published by AUSTRIA NETTO KATALOGE, the local issues of the Second Republic were completely revised, supplemented and extended by varieties and a comprehensive revaluation of the prices adjusted to the market situation was carried out.

The “official reprints” were fundamentally and completely revised. The illustrations have been arranged in an overview table for better differentiation of the colours and allocation of the individual issue years. Extensive descriptions and comprehensive valuations complete the detailed elaboration.

All philatelic special items issued by Austrian Post are listed, valued and illustrated in detail from the beginning of the issues. These special items include stamp booklets, stamp albums, stamp folders, booklets and CDs, stamp folders, collector’s albums, farm animals, stamp books, stamp collections, numiphilium collections, first day editions, collector’s editions, books, miniature sheet editions and the stamp editions 1, 2, 4, 8 and 20, crypto stamps, dispenser stamps and much more.

The colour coding of the chapters on the right-hand side to make it even easier to find collection areas has proved its worth and makes the catalogue even easier to use.
