29.08.2018 - Changes in the Board of the IFSDA guard change in Prague

(wm) The abbreviation IFSDA stands for International Federation of Stamp Dealers Associations. The Board - it has been chaired the last six years by Richard Johnson from South Africa, who runs a company in Switzerland together with his predecessor, Ingomar Walter - invited its members to visit the General Assembly in Prague on 16 August 2018. Numerous colleagues from all over the world were present at the meeting, at which a new board was to be elected. The Dutchman Rob Smit succeeds Richard Johnson, vice-presidents are Paul Sussmann (France) and Lars-Olow Carlsson (Sweden), the new treasurer is now Ingomar Walter (Switzerland), who succeeds his wife Suzy F. Cardinaux in office. As assessors Francois Friend and Torsten Weller were appointed.
In the coming years, the so-called IFSDA address manuals will continue to appear self-financed, but the IFSDA newsletter has to be converted into a digital publication. The number of visitors to the association's own website are impressive, averaging over 10,000 visits per month!
The association has no major problems. The cash situation is stable, the association has more than 1,350 members in total and the contribution per member of 20 SFr. per year has been maintained. The German dealer association APHV has, by the way, not been a member for years.
