20.01.2017 - Kennedy stamp issued on President’s Day

(lsn) On 20 February of this year, ‘President’s Day’ will be celebrated in the United States. To mark this occasion, an American stamp with the portrait of John F. Kennedy will be issued. It concerns a so-called ‘Forever’ stamp (no denomination, eternally valid) that bears the inscription ‘John Fitzgerald Kennedy 1917-1963’. The stamp commemorates the hundredth birthday of Kennedy, who was President of the USA from 20 January 1961 until his assassination on 22 November 1963.
