07.12.2016 - Jan Billion receives Golden Needle from the DPhJ
(dphj/hw) Since the mid-1970s, the German youth collector’s organisation ‘Deutsche Philatelistenjugend’ (DPhJ) has been awarding a special Golden Needle to persons who support the work of the organisation to a considerable extent. For the year 2016 the Golden Needle went to Jan Billion, who received this award during the renowned stamp fair of Sindelfingen. Jan Billion has significantly supported the work of the DPhJ and its subsections. He did this through the generous and free provision of exhibition space during philatelic events held in the German towns of Sindelfingen, Munich and Essen. In doing so, he not only significantly supported the youth activities during those fairs, but he also enabled the DPhJ to participate in these events. For this, the chairman of the DPhJ and the chairman of the ‘Landesring Südwest’ thanked him, by awarding Jan Billion the Golden Needle of the DPhJ for the year 2016.
