08.08.2018 - STOCKHOLMIA 2019 presents ads in Chinese

(wm) The world is getting smaller – hence the expression ‘global village’- and virtually smaller. Whether such thoughts have led the organisers of the next edition of the international stamp exhibition STOCKHOLMIA (Stockholm, Sweden, May 29-June 2, 2019) to take a remarkable step is unknown. Fact is that not so long ago the first advertisements to promote the exhibition have appeared in the Chinese language. This is not a coincidence, since the International Philatelic Exhibition STOCKHOLMIA, which is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Royal Philatelic Society of London, has received support from philatelists in China. And not only there, but also in India and many other countries and continents of this earth. All exhibitors received their exhibit requests approved, even though the number of frames booked exceeded the maximum by ten percent. There will only be slight reductions for multiple exhibitors.
That the exhibition and the legendary London philatelic club are in such demand is underlined by the fact that a symposium will held by the German members of the Royal Philatelic Society of London in the weekend of 25 and 26 August, hosted by the famous auction house of Heinrich Köhler in Wiesbaden, under the organizational direction of the charter ‘Consilium Philatelicum’. By this time there will be only a few – if any - places left.
