The City Hall of the German town of Mainz will open its doors on 2 November 2012 for the international literature exhibition IPHLA 2012. From that moment on, visitors from all over the world will crowd the place. Many of them will grab the opportunity to view the lots of the IPHLA literature auction. The auction, supervised by the famous Wiesbaden auction house Heinrich Köhler, will take place on the following day, 3 November 2012. A significant part of the lots on sale comes from the library of the German literature collector Norbert Roehm; it contains a large number of rare and singular items, especially literature from the 19th Century. Up until 20 July of year it will be possible to bring in any other literature objects for the same auction, the rarer the better of course. It is already certain that a significant number of avid literature collectors from Germany and abroad will be at the auction. It will be interesting to see how supply and demand meet each other. The auction catalog will be available at the end of August 2012; it will find its way to those collectors that are on the valued clients list of Heinrich Köhler.
