The international German topical study group ‘Olympiaden und Sport’ (IMOS) indulges its members every three months with a new edition of its magazine IMOS-Journal. In the recently published Nr. 152 of this magazine, the journal delivers almost 150 pages of comprehensive and interesting visual and textual material. Besides presenting the world´s newest stamps and hand stamps about Olympics and sports, the latest issue also includes specialised articles about ‘Private Post Stamps with a Sports Theme (Recreational Sports)’ and ‘Ancient Coins attributed to Modern Wrestling.’ There is oral history as well, in an article dedicated to the Women´s Soccer World Cup of 2011, illustrated with pictures of special hand stamps, covers and other photographs. It’s a thrilling story about what is called a ‘The Summer Fairytale of 2011’, a fairy that came too soon to an end, at least for the Germans.
