A double anniversary can be celebrated in the German city of Minden. The oldest document stating that Minden has obtained city rights dates from 1232, so that is now 780 years old. In the same year 1232 the Minden City Council decided to start a regular weekly market, which makes two jubilees. Enough motivation for arranging a special hand stamp memorizing both occasions. The hand stamp will be in use during the 78th edition of the important stamp fair that the local association, BSV Minden, will organise on 26 February 2012. There are two special covers to be had: one showing the aforementioned document stating that Minden has city rights, the other one with an impression of a regular market day in the old days of Minden. Both covers can be ordered from Eckhard Prasuhn, Brühlstraße 39, 32423 Minden (Germany).
