A soon as the website of the International Literature Exhibition ‘IPHLA 2012’ went online, the first application for the event – that will take place in Mainz (Germany) – came in. The honour of being the first one to apply went to Heinz Friedberg, Editor of the study group ‘Briefpostautomation e.V.’, who entered the newsletter of the aforementioned study group for competition.

Of course, everyone wishing to take part in IPHLA 2012 can also make use of the digital services of the website, by filling in the downloadable registration form that is available on www.iphla.de.

Two things are noteworthy, the first being that it is very appropriate that especially a study group of this kind should be the first to apply for IPHLA 2012: swiftness and speed are concepts that surely apply for both the Internet and the field of postal automation. A second consideration is that the application of Heinz Friedberg concerned an entry for Class 2D, the one for magazines or research output that have been published in digital form, for instance on CD or DVD. The application integrates seamlessly with the fact that the IPHLA event will be the first international exhibition that offers the so-called new a deserving platform.

Our congratulations go to the study group, which made a good start in the interest of the exhibition! At the same time loads the 2012 Mainz IPHLA all literature professionals are welcome to follow suit. Everyone interested in entering the IPHLA competition is cordially invited to do so by visiting www.iphla.de and downloading the application form.
