For the first time in its history, the AIJP has officially been present at the Brievenbeurs in Gouda (The Netherlands). The Brievenbeurs is an international fair that is especially aimed at those collectors specializing in postal history. This year, the fair had been organised on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15. The organizers of the event were so kind to provide a special booth where the AIJP could present itself. Thanks to the cooperation of a number of Dutch AIJP members - Han Vermeulen, Frans Rummens, Nick Kranendonk, Jan Paul van der Pas and Marcel de Jong - it has been possible to show visitors of the fair where the AIJP stands for, as far as its goals and activities are concerned. Visitors of the AIJP stand could not only obtain information about the AIJP, but they could also get acquainted with the products of a number of AIJP Partners. It was also possible to discuss problems connected with the profession philatelic journalist or author. Furthermore, copies of the BDPh-Messe-Kompass were handed out free of charge. The Kompass contains extensive information about the 16th International Stamp Fair that will be held in Essen (Germany) on 4, 5 and 6 May 2006. In Essen, the AIJP will also be present, as a special guest of the German leading stamp magazine ´philatelie´, which has a booth at the so-called Zentrum Philatelie. If you are a visitor of the Essen fair, please don´t hesitate and spend some time at the ´philatelie´ booth - you are most welcome!
