´It´s fascinating´", stated John Moody, a member of the AIJP board, when he experienced the International Stamp Bourse/Exchange in Sindelfingen for the first time. Although the British are said to be very careful with their judgements, this event even amazed a typical Englishman with a lot of experience concerning exhibitions. He witnessed three colourful days filled with numerous goings-on revolting around the one topic: Philately.

At the booths of the publishing house of the magazine philatelie and of the publisher Schwanenberger Verlag, the management board of the AIJP represented the institution well, especially through vice president Jochen Stenzke. This investion payed off. For one thing, the AIJP already won ten new members on the spot. As a welcome present, AIJP president Wolfgang Maaßen endowed them with the new bulletin and an INTERPHILA 2005.

Furthermore the AIJP conducted valuable conversations with the Schwanenberger Publishing House (MICHEL), with the heads of object and advertisement departments of the Briefmarken Spiegel (Stamp Mirror) and with the DBZ (German Stamp Magazine). From there on, new kinds of cooperation might be advancing. This is of great importance and of major interest for the AIJP as well as for its partners to be.

This development was promoted further by a very constructive board meeting, in which the debate over the new bulletin, the new terms of reference and the latest list of members were central issues. Every participant was surprised by the fertile character of this meeting, as the members productively discussed new suggestions, constructive criticism and other promising aspects. The management presented itself as livey as you could wish and imagine it to be.
